Frame Fast Make £600,000 investment with Schirmer Cutting and Machining Centre

To meet the rise in demand for windows and doors thanks to the surge of orders post-lockdown, Frame Fast UK has invested £610,000 in a new Schirmer Cutting and Machining Centre.

The impressive new machine can make 700 window and door frames a week, providing installers with quick turnaround times for their orders, helping them stand out from the competition.

Nigel Leivers, Director of Frame Fast UK, says: “The prolonged time homeowners have spent in their homes has made them think about what they can change to make their lives better. Travel restrictions have also given many households more money to spend as they’re not going abroad on holiday. Not to mention, we’ve seen a rise in refurbishments to support home working.

“As the machine can produce 700 frames a week, lifting our total capacity to 1000 a week, we can support our customers secure more jobs and beat the competition with fast turnaround times as the industry continues to experience heavy demand.”

The new machine is the most recent installation in Frame Fast’s 55,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Derby, which also includes aluminium, roofing and glass divisions. The investment comes as Frame Fast launches a new brand Elite, the five star range of windows, doors, conservatory roofs and glass, for installers looking to impress customers.

“Elite by Frame Fast offers five star choice, five star service, five star security, five star manufacturing and five star quality, so installers can choose the best products for their customers.”
