When it comes to glass, we do everything in-house in our busy glass unit manufacturing plant at our Derby factory on Ascot Drive. Every glass unit we produce is carefully designed and manufactured, so installers and builders know they are getting a reliable and great looking unit.
In our Glass Shop we create intricate glass designs in leadwork, coloured glass and bevels. We also offer sand blasted glass that is ideal for entrance doors, office partitions and signage. From PVCu and aluminium doors and windows, to composite doors, French doors, bi-fold doors and skypods, we have all the expertise to manufacture great looking glass units to suit any frame.
A new layout for the Glass Shop
We have invested in glass unit manufacturing to give installers the most reliable service and fast order turnaround. We have a hard-working team who between them have a lot of experience in fabricating glass units for windows, doors and roofs.
Glass Shop manager Karl Vandebroucke has years of experience in manufacturing glass units and runs the Glass Shop team. With his experience he has made some great changes to the layout of the factory and brought in some extra machinery including another press bench and a hot melt machine to maximise production of glass units and decorative glass.
Karl makes sure the whole process runs smoothly so as soon as an order comes in through the door (or window) they are manufactured efficiently to make sure customers receive a quality unit in a time frame which suits their schedule.
All the glass you need
Each member of our Glass Shop staff has his or her speciality and expertise to take care of each part of your order as quickly and carefully as possible to provide you with a fantastic decorative glass design in Derby.
Once we receive the order each section of the team begins working on their specialised area. Take a window unit for example, once the order has come in one part of the team begins to oversee the production of the super spacer bar, which is cut to size using our state of the art machinery to fit your window perfectly.
Once each part of your order is complete, it is labelled up so that we know exactly which spacer bar goes with which window pane or which decorative glass style goes into which composite door. Then it all comes together to bring you a quality finished product.
High productivity
The method in which our team works means we can produce around 1,500 units a week, which is extremely impressive for our close-knit team. Producing as many units as we do each day is all part of our commitment to our customers to work to their schedule so they can complete each of their installations as quickly as possible without compromising on quality.
