Playing Our Part In the Local Community

frame-fast-blog-pic
Frame Fast was set up in 1997 and has been part of Derby ever since. We have been manufacturing and supplying windows, doors and conservatory roof systems to local trade businesses for commercial and domestic projects for 20 years. This includes small building companies, architects, developers, roof installers and other home improvement companies across Derby and the local region.

For many of us, Derby is and always has been our home with much of the team growing up in the local area. We know Derby inside out. We’ve seen the city change over the years and played our part by supporting local businesses, helping to build new properties, renovating existing ones, and providing jobs to local people.

We Love Derby

From the Trade Counter to our specialist roof manufacturing division, Roof Fast, we have lots of highly skilled people on our team across a range of different roles. It allows us to provide great opportunities to local people.

Helping to build the future of the city and supporting businesses and people, isn’t the only way we like to get involved in Derby and the local community. We support and take part in many of the things that are so special to Derby.

We love the pub culture in the city, after all Derby is the real ale capital of Britain. There’s so many great pubs and micro-breweries in Derby as well as lots of country pubs to enjoy.

It’s also great that we are right on the door step of the Peak District so there’s plenty of places to walk and explore. Not to mention some of the fantastic parks to walk your dog in and around Derby like Elvaston Castle and Darley Park.

Many of us are huge Derby County fans. Like many people across the city, we support the team through the good times and the bad. Even if the latter outweighs the former!

As a business in Derby we also like to lend a hand to support local charities and culture, and sponsor events and sports teams. Check out below some of the ways in which we get involved in Derby.

QUAD 100

We recently became members of the QUAD 100 Club. The QUAD is a fantastic venue for bringing local people and businesses closer to art and film. As well as being a cinema that regularly shows new releases, and old favourites, the QUAD also has art gallery that puts on lots of different exhibitions.

We became a member of the QUAD 100 club to help support the programmes and exhibitions it puts on for the local community. It brings people together from every corner of the community so it’s really important to give support to venues like the QUAD.

Poppies: Weeping Window in Derby

Do you remember the iconic ceramic poppies that poured down the side and across the gardens of the Tower of London, in remembrance of the first day of World War One? Some of those poppies are coming to Derby as part of #poppiestour and we are sponsoring them to help support the sculpture.

Poppies: Weeping Window is coming to Derby from 9 June to 23 July 2017. The handmade ceramic poppies will be on display at Derby’s Silk Mill and everyone in the local community can come and see them for free!

We’re giving our support and sponsoring Poppies: Weeping Window because it’s going to be great for everyone in the city to be able to come and look at the sculpture, learn about World War One and remember those who bravely fought. The poppies were also designed in Derby and as a manufacturer we admire the skill and craft that has gone into making them.

Grassroots Football

When we get the opportunity to we like to sponsor grassroots football in Derby. Football is at the heart of the Derby community and it’s important to help young boys and girls, to get involved in sport to make friends, stay active and learn important skills.

We sponsor Katie in the under 10s of the Derby County Girls’ Regional Talent Club (RTC). She’s awesome! We sponsor her to help support the team with providing kits, putting on training and matches.

RTC is a great programme. It delivers coaching and support to help girls develop in football. RTC trains players across four age groups – Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s and Under 16s, holding weekly training sessions and fixtures against other regional talent clubs and local teams. The club is run by the Derby County Community Trust charity.

Check out our Facebook page to see who we sponsor.

Marketing Derby

We are a Marketing Derby Bondholder. Having been involved in commercial and domestic projects across Derby for 20 years, promoting the city is really important to us.

Derby has a booming construction industry, with a highly skilled workforce. We became a Bondholder, to work with a broad range of Derby businesses to help make people aware of the skills and expertise in our city.
