Frame Fast Helps To Bring Derbyshire Pub Back To Life

The Cock Inn
For more than ten years, the Cock Inn in Mugginton Derbyshire stood empty. Now it has a new lease of life thanks to a restoration project costing around one million pounds. Part of the impressive renovation was carried out by the East Midlands’ largest window and door fabricator, Frame Fast UK.

Frame Fast installed its aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling in the pub. The large wide-span design of the windows and doors allows plenty of light to fill the inside and provides a perfect view for customers to enjoy the wonderful views across Derbyshire.

Part of the Berkley Inns group, the Cock Inn’s restoration includes a 3,000 sq. ft extension which houses its new restaurant. Customers are greeted with an eye catching timber arch entrance, which includes Frame Fast’s aluminium doors, curtain walling and windows. Frame Fast’s dedicated Glass Shop created specialised decorative glass with the Cock Inn logo on for the aluminium doors.

“We’re really happy with Frame Fast’s work on the extension,” says Howard Thacker, Managing Director, Berkeley Inns Ltd. “The aluminium entrance to our new restaurant provides an attractive look on the outside and gives customers excellent views looking out into the garden and over Derbyshire.”

The Cock Inn is the second pub Frame Fast has worked on with the group. It also provided part of the renovation of the Three Horseshoes pub, in the idyllic Dalbury Lees, South West Derbyshire.

“After being impressed with the work Frame Fast carried out with the design and renovation of the Three Horseshoes, we knew we could count on them to do a fantastic job on the Cock Inn,” adds Howard.

“We have recently acquired the Blue Bell in nearby Kirk Langley, which we will be working on with Frame Fast too,” adds Howard.
